Sean, I'm 5ft.111/2 inches tall, and I got the :MONTROSE: Jacket in 1976, I had a 32inch waist, now my waist is between 34,& 36inches. So at least you know size person to look for in helping me find someone who would like to buy the jacket. If a person asks you what a :MONTROSE: is, tell them it's a jacket that's worn for formal , & special occaisions. Jon

Some years ago I needed a formal jacket & shirt to go with my kilt, and with the price of a formal jacket from the Scottishwear shos I looked at online, I went to a local groom, & bridal shop wearing my kilt so I would be sure to get the right size jacket. :BOY WAS I LUCKY!!!: I foud a formal jacket on sale for $75.00 and the jacketends just above the top of my sporran. Not long after I got my jacket I went to the same store to see if I can find a formal shirt, again I got :LUCKY!!!: I foud a formal shirt in their westwenwear department that was just perfect. When I attended the formal affair I had alot of compliments on my outfit with people never realizing that I brought the jacket , & shirt at a bridal & groom store. Another time I needed some informal kilt hose in a hurry so I went to local sportinggoods store and got some :WIGWAMS: in solid colors and they're so well made that they're able to pass for kilt hose. I wore them to the highland games in Albuquerque New Mexico, and the person that was running the Clan Cameron Boothhe & I were talking about kilt hose and I told him I got mine at a sporting goods store. Sometimes you do have to be a little creative. Here's something else I would like to tell you. I was in Omaha attending a Ethnic Festival and I lost my kilt pin. So I was in Omaha's Old Market Area checking out the Antique Stores Lo'! and behold I happened to glance in a display case there was a Kilt Pin. I asked the dealer how much it was. He replied it was $2.00 including the tax. I didn't want to argue with him so I paid my $2.00 and left the store happy. There was something simular that happened to a friend of mine who's a member of the :SCOTTISH SOCEITY OF NEBRASKA: She was browsing in a Anque Store when she noticed a Sash Pin in a box by the cashregister. She asked the owner how much was the pin. The owner replied that was his junk box and would sell the pin for $10.00 She told me that her mouth just dropped when she heard the price . She wanted to make sure she didn't misunderstood him, so she asked him again. The dealer told her that the reason it was in the junk box was that he wasn't able to sell the pin and was going to throw it away if nobody brought it as it was taking up space. So my friend was able to get a $150.00 Sash Broach for $10.00 I guess that it's true what people say about the Scots we sure know how to find a bargain. ianjonefan(Jon)
