Grandfather's last name was Paul. I read that Paul was associated in Clan Cameron. I know the family on his side comes from that region. Does anyone know anything about the last name Paul and Cameron? Any help would be appreciated thank you, Ari

All I can add mate is it is often rendered in Gaelic as MacPhail or McFaull. Clan MacIntosh also lays claim to the the name, which is not surprising as they battled with the Camerons for centuries over Lochaber. If your ancestor came from Lochaber, with a surname like Paul, then he may well have been of Cameron descent. Nollaig Cridheil! Ailean glas.

MacPhails seem to have been one of the learned kindreds who served the Cameron chiefs . Andy. P.S. It is not for me to make any bad remarks, and this is not intended to be so but to me it would be much better if the font size of your letters could be bigger Just a suggestion. Andy..
