Hello clansmen,
I have been researching my family history for 35 years and can only reach back to 1797 in Shelby and Henry Co Kentucky. My earliest family member was Robert Cameron who purchased 200 acres in 1797 and then married widow Mary Ann Shields that same year. We do not have any information on where and when Robert was born, partly because he only lived to the summer of 1805. He and Mary Ann were the parents of two sons and two daughters. The oldest son James b. 1800 is my direct descendant.
Has anyone heard or researched a Robert Cameron in north central Kentucky in the early 1800s. My best guess to when he was born would be between 1765-1775, maybe in Pennsylvania or Ohio. I have a full and comprehensive history of Robert's family. I would be glad to share my research if we can find out where and when my branch of the clan came to America.
