My Great Aunt Mable " Cameron " Warner was a Camerontghrough & gthrough . When she married David Warner she wore a traditional Scottish wedding dress wshich was Blue . Because according to Scottish wedding tradition to make sure a bride will have good luck they would wear a Blue dress . As Blue wsas a sign of good luck

If any Cameron is planing a wedding , and would like to have traditional Scottish wedding music I would be willing to send a audio cassette tape sample . In the Scottish culture both the bride , and the groom have their According to myreasearch on Scottish Weddings the traditional wedding march for grooms is " HAIL TO THE CHIEF ", or their clan march . The bride traditionsly can also have her clan's march as a wedding march , or one of her own choosing .. If anyone is interested in having a sample my address is Jon C. Evans 3157-25th Ave. Columbus , NE 68601-1805 cu1745@yahoo.com This offer is for all Camerons & their Septs . As a way to to help a Clansman , or woman celebrate an important event in their life

Another Scottish wedding tradition I've found was the groom would ask a group of his friends to make sure the bride got to the church safely . Before sending them to fetch the bride he would draw out his Claymor , and ask them to take this oath . They all put their hands on the Claymor , and repeats after the groom I will protect ( the name of the bride ) I swear by God & St. Andrew with my life so help me Then the brides escort with a piper proceeding them will make their way to the church .

If anyone else comes across information on Scottish Wedding Traditions please post them here .One tradition that I found is that the groom can see the bride before the wedding as long there's no strangers around otherwise there'll be bad luck . In this only the grooms , and brides immediate family can be with the bride .

Additional information on Scottish wedding customs , & traditions . . If a bride wants to go to her wedding in a carriage , the carriage has to pulled by a team of Grey horses , or if she's walking if she sees a Grey horse she'll have good luck on her wedding day .
