Post family stories , and legends that might be of interest to others . This story was passed down through my branch of the Cameron Clan , but I don't know if it's true , or not . The story goes is that some Cameron ancestors of mine were in a battle for their lives , and might not survive the outcome , but one of them was rumored to have second sight she kept saying hold on , hold on the Campbells are coming , the Campbells are coming , and sure enough with the help of the Campbells my ancestors were able to drive back the enemy . I kid you not ! This story was told to me by my Great Aunt Mabel ( Cameron ) Warner Does anyone else have family stories , and legends that they would like to share with others ?

While watching a video of my Cameron family history , my aunt Wilma who was born in 1913 can remember living in a sod house when she was 5 yrs. old , but she can't remember whether it was in Scottrsb luff Nebraska , or Broken Bow Nebraska .

When my grandfather was young most people didn't have automobiles at the time . To get anywhere it was either by walking , riding a horse , or horse & buggy . One day when he & his s Sister ( my Great Aunt ) Mable were on their way to town . At the time this was going on their were reports of thievery in the area . As they were riding down the road they were stopped by a scruffy looking man . My grandfather asked him what happened . The man answered that his horse threw him , My Great Aunt Mable was getting nervous at the time , but the man went on his way . She asked my grandfather what he would have done if the man had tried to take their horse . He answered that there was a horse whip under the buggy's seat , and if he made any move toward their horse he was going to let him have it . Another story my Great Aunt told me that at one time my grandfather had a Indian Motorcycle he was a little on the wild side when he was younger , and somehow wrecked it . Can you imagine what that motorcycle would be wroth today if he hadn't wrecked it ? If any of you have interesting Cameron family stories I think others might like to hear about them

Here's another one that my Aunt Mable told . about one of our Camemeron ancestors who was supposed to hve second sight . The story was that my ancestor along with some other of our Cameron ancestors were attacked , and when all seemed lost she said that the Campbells are coming , and sure enough they did come , and my branch of the Camerons were saved . I don't know if this true , or not but my branch of the Cameron Clans also has Campbell connections So it could have been some Cameron / Campbells that saved my ancestors .

My grandmother was born in 1890 , and died in 1994 .I think some of you might find this interesting . Victoria was Queen of England , McKinley was in his third year of his Presidency . She was 8 yrs. old when the Spainish American War started . . 17 when the Wright Bros. first flew their plane . 24 when the First World War began . 30 when women got the right to vote 37 when Lindburgh flew the Atlantic 79 when Neil Armstrong stepped on the moon Imagine a person living from when Victoria was Queen of England to Elizabeth the II, And from the Presisentcy of McKinley to Reagen .
