Greetings:
I just came across your great website and hope I might be able to get some help with finding some relatives. I should start by saying that I have been working on this for over two decades and have covered pretty much all the traditional sources. Where I'm stuck is going back further than my grandfather (Charles D. Cameron). I know he was born near Pittsburgh in 1864 and died near Los Angeles in the 1930s. It looks like his parents were William (born around 1831 in Ohio) and Martha (born in 1834 in PA). He also had two older siblings, Mary and Joseph. And that's where I keep hitting that brick wall. In the 1870 Census William does not appear with the family, perhaps having died in the Civil War. If anyone has any information that might help with William or Martha, or that goes back further than them, I would definitely appreciate it! Thanks very much.

There is probably a fit with Sharpsburg (Pittsburgh area) PA Camerons where many moved to Stark County, Ohio but I can't find the names you mentioned for certain. Look for Genealogy, A weekly Journal of American Ancestry (New York). Article "The Camerons in America" by M.D. Cameron. Look at 6 Jul 1912, 6 Apr 1912, 2 Mar 1912, 3 Feb 1912 issues.
