:)i am looking to see if any one can help my grandfather was angus alexander cameron he worked in british alcan in fort williaim his nickname was lochiel his brother moved to canada with alcan i dont know what his name was what i am trying to do is to see if anyone can help me find his family my grannys maiden name was mckenzie she was from kyle of lochalsh >stromferry i think my grandfather was born in strontian near fort wiilliaim he was born ruffly in1886 i think if anyone can please help thanks calvin

Hi Drummerboy, welcome to the family message board. I am located in Canada, although I don't know much about Alcan's history here. They do have a number of locations across Canada. If we could find out your Grandfather's brothers' name it would make it a lot easier. Alcan, as far as I can find out, started production at Shawinigan, Quebec, in 1901. British Alcan was incorporated in 1909 - and in 1913, Alcan opened up an operation in Toronto. Without more to go on, it will be difficult to find a connection. Do you have anything else that may offer a clue as to his name?
