We seem to have had a new user register this morning specifically to post SPAM links and items related to selling merchandise and services completely unrelated to anything Scottish, Clan Cameron or other interests that we all share.
The user has been banned (by user name, IP address and other means) and his/her nine posts deleted. We'll keep our eyes on this situation, and if it continues we'll switch new user registration to "forced," which requires manual activation by us (not automatic). We also have the option of shutting down activations (for as long as it seems necessary) but that shouldn't necessarily be required...
