This isn't Scottish , but it is my own recipie . It's a Stove Top Dressing Cassarole . What you do is buy a box of Stove Top Dressing , a box of Mac . & Cheese . follow directiopns on box , when done combine the Two in a glass rectangler cassarole dish stove top on top of mac . & cheese , make 5 slices of Velveeta Cheese , put one slice in each cornwe , & one slice in middle Bake 25 min. in 250 degree oven take out when Velvetta is melted . It's one of those receipies that youcan experiment with . , like adding a can of mushroom soupwith it , or put in cut up leftover , chicken , ham , pork , or beef , or what ever you want too and if any of you happens to have a lot of left ove chicken , & etc. just add some mac . & cheese to it . That's what I usualy do with my leftovers . In our family leftovers are called mustgo , if you don't eat it , it mustgo ( be thrown outt )

My parents must've loved me. I loved eating my vegetables growing up. Still love eating 'em now, my Lads do to. Everyone thinks it's kind of funny that my kids love to eat their veggies.

Here's a receipie my mother sometimes makes for Sundays . It's a little weird , but you'll be surprised with the results . She takes some White Chicken Brests , porkchops , peeled potatoes , along with Celery , and Carrots combind with a Onion soup mix . First she gets the Onion soup mix made , then she gets out her crockpot , and puts the chicken , brests , porkchops , and onion soup mix in crockpot . If chicken , and porkchops are frozen she cooks them on high in the crockpot . After about an hour she turns the temperture to low . All you have to do next is baste it once in a while . Until It's time to eat if you're planing to have someting by suppertime . She also hhad me go on-line to see if I could find a receipie for meatloaf that you can make usuing a crockpot . If anyone is interested in the recipie go to crockpot meatloaf reciepie It has all kinds of meatloaf receipies for meatloaf that you can make in your crockpot . It even had some I've never heard of .

I was thinking for new members to the board that do not have assess to a Scottish Cookbook , or live in a area that does not have a Scottish Society , Clan Association , or a Clan Society , How about posting a few traditional Scottish recipes ? Maybe a few of your favorite recipes for Haggis for those who would like to try it . I got hooked on it when I had a full course Scottish dinner at a Scottish Cabaret ? Club in London back in 1976 .This was what I had . The first course was Salmon Steak , with all that came with it , then roast beef with potatos , green beans , and a dram of whisky , Haggis , & turnips , and for desert I had trifle? along with mountain grown Strawberries ( they were huge ) smothered in cream

If I could have what I wanted for my birthday meal , it would be Haggis , with mashed tatties (potatos ) with butter all over it , sweet corn ( sweet maize ) , Dundee , or Whiskey Cake , a dram of Glenlivet , and Scottish Short Bread packed with Chocolate Chips .
