Tonight is my first time in these message boards. Hopefully in due time I will have found a link to my missing family. My great grandmother's name, which I found on her daughters death certificate was Arzula Cameron. All I know for sure is that she was married to Joseph Lynn and they lived in Vanderburgh Co. Indiana. My mother had always said her mother was from Evansville In. but because her mother died when she was very young she didn't have any other information. According to the 1900 census there was a Joseph and Arzula Lane which shows her as being born Feb. 1862 with daughter Emma born 1888 then William P. who was born in 1889 and Howard, born 1895. It also states Arzula's father was from Indiana and her mother from Ohio. The surname had to be wrong because my middle name is Lynn, which my mother always told me was her mother's maiden name. I don't know when Arzula died or where she died, but Emma, William and Howard all lived in Missouri and to my knowledge died in Mo. My mother was born in Mo. The name Arzula is unique in itself so I'm hoping someone will recognize the name or could tell me what nationality this might be. I have searched repeatedly for something on the name Arzula but have never been able to find anything.
I look forward to making contact with others on this list and hopefully will gain some interesting information into the Cameron families.
Kindest regards Peggy

Ciad Mile Failte Peggy, I am afraid I don't have any information on your Arzula Cameron, but let me be the first to say welcome to the Clan. Hopefully you will find the connections you seek, but until you do - know that you are among kin here. We all share a common heritage and I encourage you to visit the Clan Cameron home page (www.clan-cameron.org) and learn something of our (and your) history.
Aonaibh Ri Cheile,
John
