I have already expanded considerably the list of Fassifern descendants given in The Camerons. This has recently been further expanded from that given in my Cameron Genealogies, 3rd edition, after access to more original sources. If anyone has a direct interest in this family, or knowledge of unrecorded branches I would love to get in touch.

Bob, I have information of a John Cameron of Fassiefern fromm when he was either a Capt. or a Col. in the Gordon Highlanders. Some sources say he was a Capt. , while others said he was a Col. , but what they both agree on that he was killed during rhe : BATTLE OF WATERLOO;: in 1815. The information that I have came from a toy magazine of all places. I'll be glad to send you the information if you are interested in having it. I too am supposed to have a connection to the Camerons of Fassiefern , but do not what what he connection is. This was according to family history. Your yank Cameron "cousin"

Besides supposedly having a conection to the Camerons of Fassiefern , I'm also supposed tp have a Campbeel , and a McDonald connection . This is according to some information that an aunt of my grandfather wrote in a memoir , So if ther are any Cameron / Campbells , or Cameron / McDonalds , maybe the information you are looking for might be in her memoir . I'll be bringing everything that I have on my branch of the Camerons for anyone that might be interested in looking through it .
