Innes Cameron, b. Scotland (husband of Kathleen) had a son, also Innes Cameron around 1925, believed in or around New York.
Innes also had a brother (Donald Cameron, b. Scotland) who went to San Diego around the same time.
Their brother John, (my grandfather) remained in Scotland.
Is Innes (Junior) still alive? Does he or Donald have any family living in the USA today?
Would love to hear from any family I have in USA.

Well David, with the help of our Genealogist Dr Robert Cameron I can mention that there appears to be a line of this family descending in Australia: Hugh Innes Cameron, b. 16 Jan 1802, Dingwall., d. 12 Jun 1871, London, England Provost of Dingwall; Procurator Fiscal, Parliamentary Agent in Dingwall, Deputy Lieutenant of Dingwall and County Ross, JP of Ross and Cromarty. Lawyer and banker in London. Armigerous m. 1828, Nancy Sophia Ellis, b. 27 Sep 1802, d. 12 May 1849, dau. of Major J. G. Ellis. An Innes Cameron, born 30 November 1924, died December 1970. No address given. His social security card was first obtained in Pennsylvania. This is in the social security death index, which you can access on line through rootsweb.com. Nobody by that name shown on www.switchboard.com, however. Good luck. |

As for Donald Cameron, there are 34 listed in California in the www.switchboard.com phone book, so that's a bit trickier. You could look at them and see if anything rings a bell. |

One more idea! When you ask for "Innes Cameron" from Google, there's one American result: Innes Cameron, an insurance agent in Michigan. Address: 325 East Summit Street, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48104. Telephone 734-662-4567. Worth a contact? By the way, this is a hint for everyone: www.google.com is great for finding people. Just put the whole name in quotation marks (inverted commas to non-USA folks) and you can get some surprising results. I found a diary message written by my mother in 1914, and I found a reference to my father in an interview with a famous scientist. Amazing! |
