Leaving us all something to fight for in lifes mad swirl,
Beyond our own self comfort and release.
His gentle grandson perhaps the bravest of the clan,
Showed utmost honour in a ravaged land,
Remembered forever by such a blessed name,
Donald and his brothers of the most eternal fame.
For fifty years we had a wisely guiding hand,
Refreshing ancient ties and renewing our proud race,
Uniting all forever with a light and kindly grace,
Lochiels' children sorrow now in many different Lands.
Our Greatest modern chief has gone to God,
A vast rich life is left behind for us to ponder on,
Virtues tumbled from him as all great rivers flood,
He richly adorned the grand old name of Cameron.
