I came across a series of books that I think others might like . If any of you are interested the following is a list of them , and what they are about . The first of the series is the Sisrterhood Series by Fern Michaels . The first book of the series is titled Weekend Warriors . The story starts out as the only daughter of Myra Breckingridge is killed by a hit , and run driver who had diplomatic immunity . For a whiled after her daughters death she didn't feel like living . Her adopted daughter who was a high -priced lawyer , and her security chief who has very close ties to Queen Elizabeth tried to snap her out of her depression . What did snap her out of her depression was she was watching the news on t. v. was this woman's daughter was killed by her husband when the case came to trial the D. A. who was try ing the case dropped the ball so thed husband was found innocent . As her husband was leaving the courthouse the woman rfan up to her husband , and shot him on the courthouse steps . Myra asks her adopted daughter to defend the woman . So as thed adopted dasughter is defending thed woman , behind the scenes Charles with the help of his fcormer secret inteligence agents spirirted the women to England under a new idenity . Also myra asks Charles tgo find other women that had justice denied them . All - in all 7 woman formed a v igilante group to help other women who were denied justice \.
The Phryne Fisherf Series by Kerry Greenwood . A story about Phryne Fisher who drove an ambulance during WWI , was a racecar driver , flies a plane , and worfks as a high - priced private detective in Austraila the first book of tyhe series is Cocaine Blues
Daisy Dalrymple Series by Carola Dunn . One of her series is titled Murder On the Flying Scotsman
Nuala Anne McGrail series by Andrew M. Greeley . First book Irish Gold . Nuala has second sight . She can see events that happen in the past that has a connection to events in the present . First book of series Irish Gold
Molly Murphy Serties by Rhys Bowen . Irish lass who becomes a private dectective almst as soon as she gets off a boat from Ireland . If any of you can check some of these books out I would like tgo know what you think of them .

I came across a book that I think those who are interested in whiskey/y . There's a book by Dave Bloom titled " A ATLAS OF WORLD WHISKEY/Y " You might want to see if your local library has it .

Hello, Jon: You might like to look at: The Original Guide to Scotch Whisky by Michael Brander (The Gleneil Press - 1995) Malt Whisky by Ian Wisniewski (Ryan, Peters & Small - New York 2003) Malt Whisky Companion by Michael Jackson (Dorling Kindersley Limited - London 1997) But the best of all is: Peat Smoke and Spirit by Andrew Jefford (Headline Book Publishing - London 2005) Hope these are helpful. Oops wrong title , and author. Went back to libary after work . Correct title is " THE WORLD ATLAS OF WHISKY " by Dave Broom .

I would much rather drink it than read about it - but I do appreciate the information! I do have the Malt Whisky Companion by Michael Jackson. My long suffering wife, I'm sure, at times thinks I am the malt whisky companion (or the malt whisky is my companion!).
