I do not know whether others will find this as interesting as I have, but although the content of the Inverness Journal (and other Archival newspapers) are on Microfilm and can be read at the Inverness Library, it is also possible to gain from the The Am Baile Newspaper Index www.ambaile.org.uk/newspapers/index.jsp an abstract and a reference to which issue of the newspaper the article is contained in along with information on how to view the original articles or request copies. An example of what you will find there: Inverness Journal Friday, 19 January 1816 Agriculture > Estates Locheil - Donald Cameron Esq, of Lochiel, sheep farms for Coanich & west half of Kenmore, Callicharth & Murlagan, Logganfern, Kinlochcharkaig & Glencamagary, Glenpeanmore, Glenpeanbeg & Corrychastle Page/Col Ref:1C Emigration > Canada Inverness Journal Friday, 17 January 1823 Donald Cameron (agent at Fort William) advertises lands on the St Lawrence & work for labourers with rates of pay, local agents named Page/Col Ref:3D
