I enjoy good Scottish Oats. Despite being in the states, I buy them from an import store and will gladly eat them any morning. Now I’m looking for some variety: I would like to challenge all the Camerons out there to post their favorite recipe (or just use) for Scottish oats. Here’s a favorite use among the Dollar family: Make up a thick batch of oatmeal, put it in the fridge overnight. In the morning it will be very thick (it should stick together enough to slice without falling apart) Pan-fry both sides in a bit of butter (much like cornmeal mush) Season as you like (I prefer a dash of salt and nothing else).

Krissy's Oat Cakes ground Oat's add flaxseed oil or olive oil tbsp salt, sea salt cinnamon mix together (consistency should be like a pancake) add warm water or almond rice milk. Make the pancake add on top of the oat cake, stewed apple or berries, any stewed fruit and a dollop of yogurt. Yum Yum Children just love these.
