Military: War of 1812: Cameron, George from St. Clair Twp., Allegheny Co., Pa. Family record of marriages and Births found in War 1812 bounty land and pension file for George Cameron, St. Clair Twp., Allegheny County, Pa., 1813. Declaration of a widow for Pension, 14th April 1871, Martha Cameron of Maquoketa, Jackson Co., Ia. tried for a pension----married under the name of Martha Casteel to said George Cameron on the 9th day of May 1808 by Abraham Whitiker a JP at Washington County, Pa., nearest villege was McKeesport, that her husband died at the house of I.S. Cameron near Maquoketa, Ia. on the 2nd day of April 1864. Pension rejected Jan. 10, 1872. 10 September 1874 while Martha Cameron age 92 was living at Centre Junction, Jones Co., Ia. a supplementary Declaration was made to prove George Cameron's 2nd service in War 1812. Reference to 3 months after the birth of their daughter, Nancy Jane who was norn 23 of June 1814. Attached to this declaration is a certified copy of the family record of George Cameron, late of Washington County, Pa. Marriages--Viz.: George Cameron married to Martha Casteel on the 9th day of May 1808;--Samuel Cameron was married to Mary Thompson on the 8th of June 1835;--Nancy Jane Cameron was married to Jet Billingsby in 1836;--Isaac S. Cameron was married to Mary M. Oakley on the 27th Aug. 1849;--Allen A. Cameron was married to Almira Pangburn 20 Dec. 1850;--Margaret A. Cameron was married to Daniel Gearhart Aug. 31, 1847;--Grizzy Cameron was married to _iram Vanhorn on the 17th day of Apl. 1851. Births--Viz: George Cameron was born Feb. 9,1784;--Martha Cameron was born June 26, 1783;--Elisebeth Cameron was born Apl. 9, 1809;--Samuel Cameron was born Aug. 5, 1811;--Nancy Jane Cameron was born 1814;--Allen A. Cameron was born May 14,1818;--Rachie Cameron was born Apl. 4, 1821;--I.S. Cameron was born Nov. 26, 1823;--Margaret A. Cameron was born Dec. 10, 1825;--Grizzy Cameron was born Sept. 19, 1829. ( Children through Rachie were born Allegheny Co., Pa.; I.S. Cameron born Beaver Co., Pa.; last two were born Mercer Co., Pa. ). Deaths--Viz.: George Cameron died June 2, 1864;--Martha Casteel died May 26, 1875;--Elizabeth Cameron died April 3, 1885;--Nancy J. Cameron died 1849.
