During my absence overseas the event of the decade arrived on the Clan Cameron Australia website in the form of our Clan Cameron Genealogy site or as Dr Robert Cameron whose dedication and commitment created this detailed resource says:
“The full listing of Cameron Genealogies is now available for searching online, except for a few "Strays" still being entered. The collection concentrates on Cameron families in Australia, but includes most of the major "named" Scottish families. There are sure to be some technical errors remaining from the conversion to the new format. And none of the histories can be taken as perfect or complete. They never will be, but always able to be changed on receipt of new information - the further back we go, the more I like confirmatory evidence. I hope the Genealogies will be useful to many researchers, and give some pleasure to some. The compilation has involved a lot of work, but I have certainly enjoyed doing it. I hope to continue the updating for many years. I also wish to thank my son Angus for organising the web site and the conversion from the text format - an enormous job in itself. Bob Cameron’
We hope that all Camerons researching their ancestry will access this material, forward any additional material that may emerge, and then together we may be able to reconnect the threads past history managed to separate…. Congratulations Bob, to say this hardly seem sufficient, we all owe you a great debt…….

Can I quote you and Bob on that? I would love to copy that exactly as written here and place it in the next newsletter. May I?

Anna, delighted to have you spread the message to all. May be of some help if you include the address of the website, I should have posted this in the original message. You will find the Genealogy research site at www.clan-cameron.org.au

Hi Val,
Thank you so much for the link. The information is fascinating, although I have already found some info there that has thrown a monkey wrench into my own family tree (groan). I may not be descended from who I thought I was descended from - oh well, back to the drawing board.
I am tremendously appreciative of the work that has gone into the transcription of this information, and the willingness to share it with others. I echo your comments about Bob Cameron & all who helped him. This is a treasure for those who are interested in genealogy.
Slainte,
John
