Let me tell you a little about my grandmother . She would have been 119 this month . When she was born Queen Victoria was ruling the British Empire , McKinlely was in his 3rd year of his termm as President of the U.S. , was 8 years old when the Spainish -American War broke out .24 when WWI broke out There were other major historical events the lived through during her life . Especially when you lived from the time of Queen Victoria to Queen Elizabeth II ,and McKinley's 3rd year of his term of Prresident of the U.S. to Ronald Reagan's first term of office .
