We don't usually do this, but here is a special article from the latest (November/December 2002) Clan Cameron Online Newsletter:
In October, after "keeping terms" and passing the required examinations, Donald Andrew Cameron, the son of Donald Angus Cameron, Younger of Lochiel, and Lady Cecil Cameron, O.B.E., was called to the bar. For those not familiar with the term, it means that one has become eligible to practice as a barrister.
At this time he is doing "pupillage" at a set of chambers, a demanding year of training work which provides a thorough introduction to the profession. Usually the year is broken into two portions - the "First Six" and "Second Six." During the First Six, a practical understanding of the court system is obtained, where the pupil deals with court staff, judges, witnesses and clients. The Second Six finds pupils in court almost every day, on a variety of cases, anything from small claims hearings in the county court, crown court applications, or magistrates' court trials.
By the summer of 2003, after a busy year of pupillage, Donald should be a full-fledged barrister, a trial lawyer traditionally regarded as a specialist pleader who also gives expert opinions on all legal matters. In the words of his father, Donald Andrew "has done very well so far and we are very proud of him." This pride extends into the Clan Cameron Association, which would like to extend congratulations to Donald as he enters this exciting, next step in his career.
