" MEMORIAL DAY "
Every day we're losing what Tom Brokaw ? calls the " GREATEST GENERATION " These people who came through a depression , and then had to fight a war . They buckeled down to do what needed to be done to win the war . Women worked in defence plants , factories , & etc. while the men went off to fight . of course there were women in the service , and some at great cost totheir lives ferried fighter planes , bombers , & etc. to bases overseas . Along with the men who did the fighting these women had to face German Fighter pilots , and even from the people they delivered tthe planes to . So on this " MEMORIAL DAY " as we honor these men , let us not forget these unsung , mostly unknown women who helped turn the tide in W.W.II .
