Another Taylor checking in. It is good to see so many of the family interacting together. I just happened to stumble across this website. Knowing that I am from clan Cameron this was very exciting as I knew I would be able to talk to long lost family members.
That is the cool thing about the clan. We are literally all family.
Anyways, I am trying to find other Taylor's from the clan in the South Carolina area.
Drop me a line I look forward to talking with all of you.

Hello. I am so happy I have just found out my Scottish roots. I have always felt a huge link to Scotland. So I was so excited to find out that I have Scottish blood flowing through my veins.
By the way. hello David

Hi, all! I just wanted to welcome each of you to the message board... and to the best clan around!
David, that was my dad's name ~ David Taylor. We're North Carolina Scots; my maiden name is Taylor. Have you hooked up with any of the SC games yet?
Hazegry, your post name is very interesting. What does it mean? Btw, I love Virginia Beach. You're in the service there? What branch?
Faithgrace777... now that's an interesting post name as well. I look forward to learning more about it!
Looking forward to hearing back from each of you on the message board!

I'm new here also!! My last name now is Hamilton, but my maiden name is Cameron My Dad is Donald Scott Cameron originally from Gardiner, MT... and my late grandfater was also a Donald Cameron, originally from Colorado somewhere but then relocated to MT. I also have a brother named Donald Leland Cameron So we sorta kept up the tradition I would say. I am trying to figure out how far back these roots go and meet long lost relatives! I really want to make it to the next gathering in 2009, so I hope nothing happens to disturb that idea!! and we "pinch pennies" to make it there!. Im going to try to get my dad to go also. I pretty much grew up in Washington state, sorta all over. I joined the Air Force after high school, then got out and am now an emergency services dispatcher (911) for the Navy bases here in WA. Anyone, send an email if you would like to chat more!!!

Must be something in the air! I always knew about my Scottish heritage, so it's nice to find a site full of so much knowledge and history! Has anyone attended "Games?" Are they sort of typical medieval fare or something more?

Hello to all those new to the board, all those old to the board, and those who stop by and haven't joined us fully yet. It's wonderful to see more of the Clan signing on and swelling our numbers over 800+! In reference to the Highland Games in which I believe sorleymissed asked "what's it like?". Well if you haven't attended one yet definitely put it on your to do list. They most certainly do a historical time line in reference to key points of Scotland's past ,but they are very much about the present as well and not just about Scotland but all those who hail from Scottish descent in the United States and there are many of us. You should check out some previous posts where members talk about the Games they have attended and also check out on the main page about the various Branches and Chapters. Their you will find a plethora of Games listings and other events, many have links to the main web pages of the Highland Games themselves. On these sites they will list all the events that will happen and photos of previous years that will help you get a little bit more of an idea. Even with pictures it only remotely touches upon what you will experience. Again I can't stress enough that if you haven't been most certainly do so as I'm sure others will agree. It is not a renaissance fair at all. If you have any questions or need help finding information about the Games or Clan Cameron associations in your area please feel free to send me a message and I will help in any way I can. Again welcome to all. I look forward to hearing from my fellow Clans-folk and strengthening our ties. UNITE UNITE UNITE! Slainte Gu Siorraidh Aonaibh Ri Cheile Sean H. To find out about highland games in your state go to your browser and type in South Carolinia Highland Games . You should be able to find one in your area. Check out the Grandfather Mountain Highland games it's one of the oldest in the U. S. If you're able to attend one of thier games please let this Nebraska Cameron know what you think of it. I'm thinking of attending the games there one of these days. In fact I'm hoping to attend each of the 4 major highland games. They are as follows Grandfather Mountain , Rocky Mountain , Stone Mountain , and the Kansas City Games. For years I attended the highland games in Albuquerque New Mexico. The celtic groups that were repersented there were the Scots, Irish , Welsh , and Galacian (celtic region of Spain) In fact the last time that I was there they were trying to raise money for Galacian Bagpipes. So depending on which highland game you attend you might run into people of Breton (Britiany decent celtic region of France) ianjonefan

Hi to all of you posting here lately. The board has been quite busy! I am at the Stone Mountain Games this weekend, outside of Atlanta, GA.
To find a listing of the highland games and festivals in your area, please check the games listings on this website. There is actually a group of Camerons meeting in South Carolina ~ you should get involved with them if you are in that area! Thank you, Sean, for sending David Taylor in SC to the main page of this website to locate the games listings!
There is so much information on this website, our own electronic branch, that we should all start our investigations here when it involves the Camerons, don't you think?!
