I am a decendent of Angus Cameron from the Clan Fassifern a sept of Clan Lochiel, born in Inverness Scotland and married to Rachel nee Gordon.
Donald Cameron thier son was born 1 March 1822 in Kilmonivaig Scotland.

I am a decendant of George William Cameron son of Duncan Cameron of Lochiel and Maria Teresa Kelleher they came to Mexico aprox. in 1880 (not sure) and I am looking the birth certificate of them specially of George William, could you give info where can I search in order to locate their records?

 "Cousin" You could try www.familysearch.com This is the Mormon site for searching for ancestors. It is obligation free. The records are not total but the later in the C19th the better. I have managed to trace ancestry back to a marriage in 1823 for the Lochaber records. If your ancestors were born after 1850 you have a good chance of finding them. Dias Mhuire duit a Eanruig! The family later lived at Clunes. Donald was spirit dealer in Edinburgh at marriage.

m. 4 Aug 1850, Old Greyfriars Church, Edinburgh, Mary Cameron, b. 27 Mar 1825, Glenelg, Inverness shire,
dau. of John Cameron and Rachel Cameron. The family later lived at Fort William
She d. 31 May 1892, "Allen Vale", Lal Lal, Vic
They migrated per "Gambia" from Liverpool 23 Jun 1852, arriving Port Phillip 27 Oct 1852. They moved
to Ballarat ca 1854, later bought land "Allen Vale" at Lal Lal
Get yourself off and join the Victorian Branch of Clan Cameron Australia - Vic they will help you with the rest of the records held by Clan Cameron Aust....

Hi and thanks very much, that is the same information that my Uncle "Ronald Cameron" has come up with. I am hoping to go back further into the Scotland Family History and I have a good lead from the earlier thread which I will explore. Regards Brian

Yes, Brian, he came to Australia in 1852 and settled in Ballarat, as you probably know. I have a couple of pages on the family in my Cameron Genealogies, published for Clan Cameron NSW. I'll give you details by email
