For Cameron Associan members who weren't able to attend the Gathering last year , but is planning to go to Scotland this year . Ihave a couple of suggestions . For those whoare interested in attending the Glenfinnian Highland Games you might want to consider taking the Jacobite Steam Train as it passes through Glenfinnian trom Fort William to Mallaig , and back to Fort William . If you do plan on attending the Glenfinnian Games and usuing the Jacobite to take you there you might need to stay in Glenfinnian overnight . For golfers who are interested in trying out the course at St. Andrew this is what I read in a article in the Highlander some years back I don't know if they still do this , or not , but accorfding to the article at the time it said that if you are a valid member of a Golf Club it can be either a private , club , or a public club you will need your membership card , a letter from the clubs golf pro , and your passport . You " might " then have a better chance of playing the course . As I said earlier these are only suggestions. If anyone would be 9nterested in hearing about other suggestions send me a personal message through the message board

For those who might have missed it on Face book , or don't get the Scottish Banner . There was a story about Bill Millin who was the D-Day piper that piped the troops off the landing craft during the Invasion of Normandy . Recently died the age of 88 . His commander Lord Lovat asked him if he would play Highland Laddie , Blue Bonnets O'er the Border , and Road to the Isles . Bill Millin was wearing a kilt in the Cameron Tartan at the time he was doing this . Somehow he got shot , and after taking some German prisoners they told him that they weren't the ones that shot him because they thought he had lost his mind .

Some of you might find this interesting . For years a pair of Mallard Ducks ( Drake & Hen ) have been stopping by to eat some corn I first put out for squirrels . As the years past by They've been stopping by for their corn . This tear they've gotten a little used to me . Late this afternoon as my mother was coming into the house. Said there was someone looking for me . Turned out to be the 2 ducks they were almost at the back door , So I got some corn to feed them , and they both followed me to where I usually feed them quacking their heads off as saying hurry up , hurry up we're starved . Has anything like this happened to many of you? Please let me know .
